On March 6th, we held a night excursion monitor tour that utilized Hamamatsu Castle and Gosha Shrine in the central city of Hamamatsu. Hamamatsu Castle and Gosha Shrine are historical buildings connected to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the shogun who pioneered Japan's Edo period, and we utilized them as a unique venue.
We plan to refine the product based on various opinions from participants and make proposals to convention organizers.

City of music

Companies such as Yamaha, Kawai and Roland serve as the backbone of the city’s world class musical instrument production, thereby transforming Hamamatsu from a "City of Musical Instruments" to a "City of Music." From international events to citizen-organized concerts, a variety of musical activities take place across Hamamatsu including the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, Hamamatsu Band Festival, Hamamatsu World Youth Choir Festival and Yaramaika Music Festival.

Small and medium-sized venture companies are gathered in the Hamamatsu and Lake Hamana areas, so we can introduce companies that can accept technical visits.

Hamamatsu is blessed with abundant nature and foods

The rich, breathtaking nature of Hamamatsu and Lake Hamana is the region’s true appeal. Whether it’s the sun setting over Lake Hamana, the refreshing Kanzanji hot springs, the majestic Pacific Ocean seen from the Nakatajima sand dunes, or the lush forests, mountains, and rivers of the Tenryu area, you are sure to enjoy all the area’s nature has to offer.

Hamamatsu eel

Eel from Hamamatsu is so famous in Japan, that eel is often referred to as "Hamanako eel" after the region in Hamamatsu where it is raised. Needless to say, Hamamatsu has an abundance of eel restaurants.
Hamamatsu eels are cultivated based on the warm climate and abundant water of Hamamatsu, so they are of the best quality.
At Hamamatsu's eel specialty store, chefs who use the best ingredients and traditional techniques explore various taste sensations and serve delicious eel dishes.
You can find many eel restaurants from this web page.

Hamamatsu dumplings

Hamamatsu dumplings are a popular dish that are delicious, cheap, and nutritious, with a light taste that uses plenty of fresh cabbage from Hamamatsu, but also has the richness of pork. Due to their overwhelming popularity necessitating that many dumplings be made at once, the circular frying method, in which a large number of dumplings are grilled side-by-side in a circle, has become a hallmark of this Hamamatsu delicacy. With their light taste, Hamamatsu dumplings are often eaten in large quantities, and are so popular that the circular frying method itself has become a selling point. This WEB page introduces many recommended dumpling restaurants in Hamamatsu.

Hamamatsu power foods

There is an abundance of seasonal ingredients from Hamamatsu and Lake Hamana.
The Hamamatsu and Lake Hamana area, blessed with a mild climate and abundant nature, produces and catches approximately 170 agricultural products and 150 marine products respectively. In Hamamatsu, this abundance of seasonal foods has nurtured a rich culinary culture, supporting people’s health and extending their life expectancy.
That is why we define “Hamamatsu power foods” as both seasonal ingredients produced in Hamamatsu and dishes using those ingredients.
