■Hamamatsu Information Plaza

The Hamamatsu Information Plaza provides comprehensive information services from living guides to government and tourist information to citizens and visitors alike. There are also computers with free internet access (30 minutes per day per person), and English-speaking staff are always present, so even Japanese language beginners can feel right at home.

■Hamamatsu City Tourist Information Center

Re-opened within the JR Hamamatsu Station after remodeling in December 2005 as a place for visitors to get tourist information on Hamamatsu. Informational pamphlets on Hamamatsu City and western Shizuoka are provided, and English-speaking staff are always available to answer questions. There are also volunteer guides who can provide visitors with local information.
